KLANG

STRUCTURE

KLANG is an electronic music project from Barcelona focused on sound quality and built around structure, and precision.

SYSTEM

The visual identity is structured around the graphic representation of sound (Klang — sound in German)

The system begins with a metronome needle, establishing rhythm, control, and measurement as primary values.

This initial gesture sets the tempo.

It is followed by the waveform, translating sound into form and completing the transition from time to signal.

Together, both elements define a visual sequence:

measure → sound → structure.

Waveforms are used as a core visual element, reinforcing the
idea of sound as structure.

Architecture is used as a visual imaginary, as method:
repetition, controlled, rhythm, and precision.

Photography was sourced from my own image archive, taken in Barcelona and Berlin: Barcelona as the origin of the project and its founder / Berlin as a cultural reference for electronic music, defined by sonic quality, rigor, and artistic depth.

CONTEXT

Design decisions are directly linked to the musical philosophy of the project, allowing visual language and sound to operate under the same principles.

Quality understood as a result of process, selection, and structure.
